1994-95
ACB LEAGUE
19th Regular League and relegation to EBA league

Season of bad memory for the history of Valencia Basket, as it means the relegation from the category.
The season begins with great social news, the new Fonteta is inaugurated, with the reform of the lower ring finished and with a capacity much more conditioned to the high competition. In order to promote the support to the club, a spectacular start of the campaign is organized, in which any fan will be able to get his pass for only 2,000 pesetas, including an emotional concert of Revolver in the Fonteta itself.
The team undergoes an important reshuffle, Brad Branson leaves the club after 6 seasons and the season starts with many new faces: Xavi Crespo arrives as a star signing from FC Barcelona and recent Spanish internationality. The Catalonian small forward does not come to fruition and performs below expectations. Warren Kidd also arrives, a player with an imposing physique who makes the difference under the hoops at the 5's position. As an American inside pair, the power forward Joshua Grant arrives from Golden State Warriors.
For the backcourt, two arrivals to highlight, that of the excellent shooter Rod Mason, capable of, for example, scoring 10 three-pointers in a single game with the Valencian jersey. It happened on November 5, 1994 in the Fonteta against TDK Manresa, in which he hit 10 of his 12 shots. A young Nacho Rodilla also joined the team, coming from Llíria, and who would accompany Mason and another of the returning players, Carlos Dicenta, in the point guard duties. Another significant arrival, Paco Olmos, who joined the first team as assistant coach. Another of the additions, Dani Álvarez, coming from CAI Zaragoza, will injure his hand seriously in an action with Bannister precisely in Zaragoza at the beginning of the year.
From last season, Juan Carlos Barros will continue in his sixth and last season, replacing Crespo in the small forward position. Víctor Luengo will continue to gain experience at the shooting guard and small forward positions and Pedro Rodríguez will help Kidd and Grant in the inside rotation.
Later in the season, the team does not perform as expected, and two significant changes occur, the replacement on the bench, where Manu Moreno will leave the position in his fourth year at the hands of Herb Brown. This change will result in a substitution of Americans, Rod Mason will leave his place to the powerful Kevin Lynch.
The changes did not end up giving the expected result, and the team fell to the relegation Play-Off, in which they will face Somontano Huesca with home court advantage. The team from Huesca, who prepared for the Play-Off with more time in advance as they were at the bottom of the standings, overcame the Valencians in the first game played at the Fonteta. Pamesa Valencia ties the series, but the two games in Huesca are for the locals, led by John Morton and Wayne Tinkle, thus certifying the relegation to the EBA League. A large number of Valencian fans who went to Huesca to support their club, started the most bitter way home.
